Archived Llangarron Parish Council Minutes

A Meeting of Llangarron Parish Council was held on Tuesday, 16th August, 2011 at Llangrove Village Hall at 8.00 p.m., with Mr. G.E. Lane in the Chair.

 

Present at the Meeting were Councillors Bailey, Brewer, Cooper,  Fisher, Hayward,  F.J. Lane, G.E. Lane, Morehead and  Phillips.  There were three members of the public present.    

 

Apologies of absence were received from Councillors Chamberlain and Harris.

 

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Mr. C. Harris – Planning Application DMS/111624/F – Alamaya House, Llangrove.

Councillors Cooper, Fisher and Morehead – Planning Application DMS/111624/F – Alamaya House, Llangrove.

 

Declaration of Interest

Miss Brewer and Mr. Morehead – Planning Application DMS/111746/CD – Llangrove C of E Primary School.

Mr. F.J. Lane – Planning Application DMS/111624/F – Alamaya House, Llangrove. 

 

Planning Applications

DMS/111746/CD  – Proposed Canopy at side of school at Llangrove C of E Primary School, Llangrove, Ross on Wye, Hfds. for Hfds. Council. The Parish Council have no objections to this Planning Application.

Note:  Mr. Morehead advised that the Plans for the Canopy had been revised and he provided evidence of the changes which all members viewed and it was agreed that if amended Plans came there was no need for a further meeting as all members were in agreement with the revision.

 

DMS/111624/F – Infill plot for one detached 4 bedroom house at Alamaya House, Llangrove, Ross on Wye, Hfds. for Mr. B. Goodfellow.  The Parish Council object most strongly on the grounds that:- (1) it is outside the Village Envelope. (2) it does not comply with the UDP guidance on infill.  (3) the access and proximity to the school is very poor.  (4) the location of the house in respect to the effect on privacy of the neighbours.  (5) we are concerned that the application suggests that no substantial hedges/trees are to be removed, but we consider this to be incorrect and suggest that a site visit takes place immediately.  (6) this could set a precedent for future development.

 

It was also agreed by the meeting, that in the light of the fact that the oak tree which was part of the above application had been omitted from plans, that the Clerk should write and request that a Tree Preservation Order be placed on this tree.

 

 

DMS/112002/F – Proposed change of use of land for the siting of self storage containers at Treworgan Farmhouse, Llangarron, Ross on Wye, Hfds. for Messrs. Wallis Farms Ltd.  The Parish Council have no objections to this Planning Application, but would like to see it restricted to its present numbers.

 

 

There being no further business, the Meeting was closed by the Chairman at 8.50 p.m.
